- This replica of one of our national monuments will be touring Alaska on one of it's many national journeys. The memorial carries the names of over 58,000 who lost their lives during the Vietnam War, or who remain missing in action or possible prisoners of war.
Dates: June 1-6, 2006 - Wasilla, Alaska (Place TBA)
June 8-13, 2006 - Eagle River, Alaska (Place TBA )
- Five hundred veterans and wounded servicemen will be competing in the Veterans' Wheelchair Games. This national event will feature a variety of competitions from swimming to basketball to cycling and much more. Locations and events will be announced later. Come and cheer these individuals on.
Dates: July 2-8, 2006 - Anchorage, Alaska
- This parade will include the 500 wounded veterans participating in the wheelchair games, as well as many other patriotic displays. Heroes of Freedom hopes to secure a corner along the route to come and cheer for our military! Events and festivities to follow, including being able to meet some of the 500 wounded veterans.
Date: July 4, 2006 - Anchorage, Alaska on the Delaney Park Strip at 11:00am
- This parade is dedicated to our military personnel in observance of MILITARY APPRECIATION DAY in Chugiak/Eagle River.
