Katherine on the right sifting through display materials at a local homeschool convention. There is a local Military Family Assistance group where you can send a package. Here’s how:
1. Contact the Alaska Military Family Asst. at
907 428- 6680 or 907 632-3378
And tell them you want to send a package.
2. Fill your package, leave it open, put your return address on the box, and prepare to pay the postage. (If you are uncertain as to the amount, call the post office.)
3. Arrange to take it to the Military Asst. at Camp Denali, Fort Richardson. (If you, for some reason, cannot get on Base, call the Assistance, and they will meet you somewhere outside of the Base.)
4. They will send the first box, but when you get a response, you can send every one after that.
You can also simply call your local recruiting offices or thank any military personnel as you meet them.
